MemberMy apology as I just realised I had been posting on our facebook page but had not started a thread here on our website.
On the track at the moment are two friends, Dr Phuoc Hong Nguyen and Cesar Zelada walking in the direction from Owers' Corner to Kokoda.
This is not a fast trek so our team and our two trekkers have been taking their time and enjoying each day. It was decided they commence their trek on the 8th September, the day that Cesar arrived from Australia. Phuoc Hong has been in PNG for a couple of weeks working at the hospital.

MemberTheir first night on the track was spent at Goldie River as they did not get away from Owers' Corner until late in the afternoon.
The following day saw them overnight at Ioribaiwa Village.

MemberThis trek has now reached Templeton's Crossing. I got to speak to Hong and she sounded excited, happy and so enjoying her walk. She said to tell everyone back home that she is having a great time and loving it. Tomorrow they head to Isurava. Please note, photographs below are from a previous trek. Photographs from this trek will be posted upon their return to Port Moresby when our camera makes its way back to our base.

MemberCongratulations to our trekkers and KTL boys as they walked off the track and under the archway earlier today. Last night they stayed at Deniki so not such a big day for them. At the moment they are at Orohaven Pija and tomorrow they will be driven down to Popondetta to catch their flight back to Port Moresby. Well done from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.
