Three more groups of trekkers arrived on Monday and booked into the Gateway Motel in Port Moresby. We received calls from all the three groups – who wanted to make sure everything inlcuding travel arrangements was okay.

Tuesday was a busy day here as Russel Eroro – Kokoda Trekking Ltd General Manager went into the ABC of organising food, bookings, and travel documents, etc catering for all our trekkers. One was heading out from Ower's Corner and the other two flying into Kokoda and walking back to Ower's Corner. Two treks will get to meet again as they pass each other on the trail. The group heading out from here would also have met up with another one of our treks arriving back today from Ower's Corner.

By the end of the day it was relief when all the three groups left for Kokoda. There were group of cops and soldiers out of the three groups.

The police consisted of 11 trekkers; Peter Waugh, Luke O'Connor, Timothy Bosgra, Michael Condon, Gregory Wallace Craig Baillie, Jeffery Salter, Peter Murphy, Robert Mc Laughlin, Malcom Mossop and Bradley Browning.

At Gateway Motel on Monday night when Russell met with them on separate appointments. Russell said he didnt know which group to visit first as there were three groups of trekkers all waiting to see him. With Gail in Australia attending her brother's funeral, Russell did his best and all treks got away on time.
