MemberThree Aussie trekkers who started out on Ower's Corner on August 26th to Kokoda and extended their trip towards Popondetta, arrived on 4th of September to make their trip back home.
Len Deakin, Ian Scott, Dean Anthony when reaching Kokoda after their 9 days battle of walking the Kokoda Trail – embarked on a PMV trip to Popondetta.
While on their way to Popondetta they had the chance of seeing other WWII sites such as Buna, Gona and other districts in the area.
It was worth the trip down to the other country side and the three men were proud to take this journey and do something out of the ordinary.

MemberThough it took them sometime to get to Popondetta – the guys purely enjoyed it as it was a slow crawl – sitting on the back of the truck, taking in all you can.
For those who wants to follow suit – it won't seemed a problem anymore waiting for PMV to come all the way from Popondetta and take you back there as we already have a PMV (Rusty's KTL1) operating in Kokoda.
