good on you Jessie to join the group of one percenters of Australians who take on the challenge of Kokoda and then pass on th e magic by story, written or verbal, or by having some great pictures or video grabs to show to family, friends and colleagues. Hopefully your story is a part of the wider kokoda story and you may have motivated others to take up the challenge. Its just on twelve months since I completed the trek and the memory of it is vivid. Well done for telling your story.

And few years old now but that's a great read. Thank you.

Wow! What an incredible story! Took me just over an hour to read it, but well worth the read! I know this trek was done many years ago now, but I always like reading people's accounts of their journey across the Kokoda Track. Very descriptive, easy to read. Love the bit about the snake lol! Also love the bit about how other trekkers helped each other – like how Nathan helped Tom across the bridge with the stick. Very well written and bringing back soooo many memories from my own trek to Kokoda in October 2009.
