MemberWe only used missed out on using a hut twice on our trek.
But those that had dome tents set up there tents without the nylon flys inside the huts a couple of times. Its a good way to keep the mozzies off you in the lower lying areas..05/08/2009 at 1:38 pm #102566Moreton
MemberHi. Peter sounds like you had a great trek. Just remember the SEVEN P's folks. Prior Preparation & Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Who wants to have an ugly face on if you get stuck, just for the sake of 2kg. the weight of a really good hiking tent.

MemberPeter,this was NEVER personal. My comments relate only from my personal experience. Always better to have it & not require it, than not & need it! Anyway I'am off in the morning for a 2 night 3 day casual walk over Mt. Barney & along the old stock route in SEQ & I will be taking a BWM2 for comfort. Regards Moreton
