MemberOops, sorry Graeme I must have missed this.
Yes the hotel offer facilities to babysit your valuables and also a storage area for the items you do not wish to take with you on the Kokoda Trail.
We must emphasise that no-one should leave valuables inside their bags as the Gateway try their hardest but with staff coming and going its hard to control 100%.
Hence, with passports, visa cards, tickets and anything else besides bags/clothes etc, its best to place it separate in their safe deposit box.
