    TREK 1 – FAST TREK COMPLETED – led by Kingsley Boropi!

    The Fast trek team with Kingsley Boropi as their guide made it to Vesulogo this morning.

    They are the first group of October 10th to reach Ower's Corner ahead of everyone.

    Trekkers Graeme Blair, Ken Bendle, Jeff Cornish, David Swan, Peter Roberts, Ian Edwards, Jacqui Johnston successfully completed their trek.

    Update: 13/10/04 – Met up with the above trekkers at the Gateway Hotel where they celebrated their trek with Kingsley Boropi and other porters. All assured me they had a great time and said 6 days was just fine for them.

    Trek 2 – led by Eric Uwea & Pam Christie: DESTINATION UALE CREEK

    THE 8 day and & Night trek is currently at Uale Creek where they will be camping for the night.

    Update 14/10/04 – received a message that says they will be arriving at Vesulogo at 9am tomorrow morning ready for their vehicle pickup and that all trekkers are ok and doing well.

    Trek 3 – led by Siprian: DESTINATION NAURO

    This group is arriving in Nauro today and will be camping for the night.

    All in all everyone's doing great.

    Update 14/10/04 – This group is now heading toward Naoro where they will spend the night. All trekkers are doing fine and enjoying their trek. This group are on target to be back in Port Moresby Monday.

    Trek 4 – led by Justus Evari – Update 14/10/04 – Radio message stated that they are up and trekking and heading for Myola Lakes where they will spend the night. On target to arrive here in Port Moresby on Thursday next week.

    Trek 5 – have already started arriving in Port Moresby with the remaining trekkers arriving today Saturday. Tomorrow will see 20 trekkers flying into Kokoda to walk a 6 day trek. Two of the trekkers are representing Australia overseas in cycling. One girl represented Australia at the Olympic Games recently and is here to trek with her father and sister.
