Boss Meri
MemberAfter the Kokoda Challenge which was held on the Gold Coast on the 14th & 15th July a few guys were invited by ex trekkers to visit with their families.
Wayne Urina flew down to Canberra to catch up with Lorna and Vic Karja. If he thought the Gold Coast was cold I can only imagine what he thinks NOW

MemberAndrew & Horace Yauga and John Derick Eroro are the guests of Jane Boswell and her family in Melbourne. They have had a busy time. Jane and her family have taken them to the Zoo and to footy games and now the snow this weekend.
Editors Comment: What is so remarkable is that these two brothers Andrew and Horace had not even met Jane Boswell and yet they were invited down to meet her family. Why? coz their brother Freddy was Jane's personal porter when she walked the track. Jane commented previously, that when she returned home she felt like she has lost her best friend. So these two young men owe their trip to Melbourne to their brother Freddy a talented musician who obviously looked after Jane really well when she walked the track earlier this year in April.
Jane and her friend Tracey plan on travelling back to PNG with the KTL boys and heading out to Kokoda to spend a week before heading back to the cold of Melbourne. Jane is returning again next year and wants to do some fund raising to help the township of Kokoda in some way. Her week long trip there will give her some ideas of what they can raise money for.
Tracey generously donated $500 recently to help purchase badly needed medicine for the Kokoda Hospital.

MemberPhotograph: John Derick Eroro, Horace Yauga and Andrew Yauga & Jane's children seen here at the Melbourne Zoo – want an experience for these guys from PNG who would never ever dream of seeing an 'Elephant' or some of the other animals in the Zoo.
