MemberTWO group of trekkers are currently out on the WWII Kokodatrail. The first group left on the 13th of this month (October) for a 9 Day trek and will be completing their trek on the 21st of October.
Today was day 7 as the team struggled up the false peaks towards Nauro – where they will overnight. There are 10 in the group including 5 others who booked later.
This group is expected back in Port Moresby this week Thursday.
The second group left last Sunday for Kokoda. The trek consisted of 20 trekkers.
All those in the trek were Rugby Union players.Joining the team was a Father and his two daughter cyclists. The group have arrived in Efogi today after stopping in Kagi to pick up food supplies.
Everyone in the two treks are doing pretty okay except for a few who felt quite ill during the first trek.
Trekkers soon forget about all this once the porters sang and played for them on their ukeleles which they carry with them during their trek.
