MemberThis group commenced walking yesterday around 9:30am and got as far as Uberi before one member of the team David McKenna collapsed.
David was carried out by our fuzzy wuzzy angels of today, our KTL boys back up to Ower's Corner where we had a vehicle waiting for him.
I drove him to the hospital along with two other members of the team who turned back to take care of him and got him straight to a private hospital.
When we all left the hospital last night the doctor felt he was just suffering from the heat. He was put on a drip and kept overnight. Shortly I will go and check on his progress and report further later on today.
Another member of the team pulled a calf muscle in his leg and could not join the group yesterday morning when they all posed on the steps of the Gateway Hotel. He stayed back and the last I heard was trying to get a flight back home.
Due to what happened with David, the group stayed at Uberi and set up camp for the night.

The group?s current location is at the top of Imita Ridge. At the moment all group members plus their porters and guide are taking a time out rest. Soon they will all head on down to Va'ule Creek where they will have their morning tea.Although it was a tough start and some trekkers had difficulties coming up, due to the height and slippery track, they all managed to make it through to the top without injuries or problems. They are all presently doing fine, going ok and looking forward to getting to their next destination.
"After our morning tea down at Va'ule Creek, we will proceed on to Ofi Creek, where I?m planning we will all spend the night. However, if the trekkers are strong and are able to continue from Va'ule Creek, then we will continue on. But if they feel that they can?t go on, we might stop there and spend the night. But for now, I?ll see how we go and I?ll call you later on today to inform you of our progress,? said the groups guide, Paulo who reported at the top of Imita Ridge.

This group just called in to confirm with us that they will be spending the night at Ioribaiwa Ridge and from there will move out tomorrow. Their guide Paulo informed us that, due to heavy rain along that area, they could not push on any further, but to stop and camp. All trekkers are ok and doing fine, some trekkers are struggling a bit, when it comes hill climbing, but so far none has had any injuries or problems, they are all doing grate.

Paulo gave a call on the two-way-radio, around 2:25pm in the afternoon, but due to power failure late this afternoon I was not able to post up anything until now. While they were up at Maguli Range, he said they will head on down to Nauro, to be followed by Brown River, where they will camp for the night. All trekkers are doing ok, only the rain, muddy and slippery ground is slowing them down. No injuries or problems have been reported, all seem to be doing grate.
Until then more updates to be posted up tomorrow.

They started out early this morning, which saw them up at Menari village a few hours before leaving their campsite. They are now heading toward Brigade Hill along side with trekkers and porters of Trek 121.
All trekkers are ok and doing well, though the mountain climbing is slowing them down; all seemed calm as they move up one step at a time. It is said they will camp down in Efogi 1 village, but that's not confirmed.
Paulo will give us a call when they get to Brigade Hill to confirm that, till then will just wait and see how they go.

The group is currently up at Menari look-out point taking a break. They will head on to Brigade Hill when they are done, to be followed by Efogi 1 village where they will spend the night. All trekkers are fine, although it's been a tough and tiring climb up, all are doing ok, slowly taking their time as they move.
Weather looks dull at this time, but no sign of rain.

This morning the groups guide Paulo gave me a call, when they stopped at Alola village, He updated me on their report for yesterday and today as well.?Last night we camped at Iora Creek, all trekkers did awesome, no injuries or problems were found by any of us, we all walked well and made it safely to our camp spot. It didn?t rain all through that day, but when evening fell, we had little showers. We were joined by Trek 127, who joined us later on that evening. This morning they went ahead of us and we followed behind. Now we?re at Alola, all trekkers are tired, but all well and looking forward to the next campsite. We will head on to Isurava Battlefield, have lunch there and push on to Isurava village where we will camp for the night,? reported Paulo.

Corresponding from the guide, he has informed us that the trekkers are currently at Isurava village where they will camp for the night. The trekkers were slow in their progress but so far have done really well. There have been no reports of injuries or accidents; all seem to go well.Early tomorrow morning they will push on down to Hoi village where they will meet up with Trek 121 and all three groups will head out to Kokoda.
Other than that, the weather looks grate and all seem well, till then more updates to be posted tomorrow.

After spending the night at Isurava village last night the group was up early this morning to do their final day of walk out to Kokoda.Although the track was not at its best condition the trekkers maneuvered well through and were at Deniki where they decided to stop for a tea break, awhile later they then pushed on further down to Hoi.
All trekkers are well, happy, excited and are looking forward to coming out.
