Boss Meri
MemberI have received an email seeking assistance for funds in relation to the Kokoda Track Foundation.
Dear Gail,
As one of our ten valued trek operator partners, I would like to thank you for your ongoing support of the KTF over the years.
We share your passion for PNG, its beautiful people and environment, and the strong connection between our two countries.
As you know, our biggest endeavour to date has been the creation and construction of the Kokoda College. I am delighted to let you know that the Kokoda College will open its doors on the 1st of June this year and is set to change the face of education for remote and rural Oro and Central communities.
For the rest of 2015, the College will train urgently needed elementary teachers at our School of Education campus. Then, from February 2016 we will open the School of Health campus and train Community Health Workers for the remote and rural areas in our catchment region.
As we move into this next phase, I am reaching out to our trek operator partners, to help us rally support from Australians who want to give back to our nearest neighbour.
Could you please help us to raise the funds we need to operate the School of Education and continue constructing the School of Health by putting out a call to your database of ex-trekkers?
Attached is an information PDF about the KTF and the Kokoda College project. Also, here is a link to a short video that you may like to share with your database. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhO6Xy4jcYQ
