Kokoda Memorial Walk

Fot those of you who are interested:

That time of year again and I am pleased to advise the Rotary Club of
Broadwater Southport is conducting the 4th!! Rotary Kokoda Memorial Walk
on Sunday 20 April 2008.

Once again we are pleased to have the support and cooperation of both
State and Gold Coast City Council Agencies and Staff.

The route and format will not differ greatly from previous years i.e.
from the Canungra area, through Nerang, staging at Gold Coast Stadium
and finishing at Cascade Gardens.

Timings also will not change markedly from previous years with the event
being held the Sunday before ANZAC Day (Sun 20 Apr 08) and in daylight
hours between 7am and 4pm on the day of the walk

Cascade Gardens is at Rotary Kokoda Memorial Wall, Cascade Gardens. Gold Coast Highway, Broadbeach, the walk will coincide with the offical opening of the Kokoda Wall at Cascade Gardens.

My apologies, the walk is not coinciding with the opening, it is held annually the Sunday before ANZAC Day as the lead in to ANZAC Day. The Wall will be on display for the Walk as a work in progress and completion is not due till Jul/Aug this year, subject to weather and construction progress.
