MemberHi Aussie
I wish to express my admiration of the Kokoda Trekking teams that competed in the Kokoda Challenge, i had the chance to have a bit of a chat with the team at the briefing night especially the young man who had done the actual track in 17 hours (apologies as i cannot recall his name).
These men are a great example of the people of P.N.G always friendly & smiling and they did their country proud in the event against a mixture of teams of professional athletes who were out to set or better previous times (in the region of 12 hours) & teams who wanted to complete the 96 klm as best they could.
For the record the Sci-Fleet Toyota Landcruisers completed the event in 29 hours and 2 minutes only 12 hours behind the P.N.G teams (should ask them to do it twice to give the old blokes a chance).
Regards
Paul
