At the moment they are down low and its hard to get message out. We will know more once they hit Nauro. Its now 12:45 and have heard some runners have passed through 1900 and are heading via Naduri towards Efogi.

MemberUpdate 26th August, 5:45pm: Just arrived back in from Owers' Corner.
ITS OFFICIAL – Brendan Buka has smashed John Hunt Hiviki's record from Kokoda to Owers' Corner in a time of 17 hours 20 minutes.
First home in Kokoda was Tom Hango in a time of 19 hours 9 minutes. As Tom did not break Brendan's record, Brendan Buka is still the record holder for both directions and another K10,000.00 richer for his win from Kokoda to Owers' Corner yesterday!
You should have seen him last night, all covered in perspiration, but we just HUGGED him…horns were blarring…..country road was being sun over the loud speaker and the excitement was something I will never ever forget.
Well done to our two KTL boys, Brendan Buka and Tom Hango, we at Kokoda Trekking are just so PROUD of them and all competitors in our 2007 Kokoda Challenge who tried their hardest.
We have brought back into Port Moresby the winner Tom Hango and also four other placegetters who combined to win the 'Team Event' for Kokoda Trekking.
Will update more later but have to race to another briefing for a trek going out tomorrow…yes, no rest for us!

MemberCONGRATULATIONS Brendan on your 1st place WIN!! You are unbelievably FAST, and now the record holder for both directions, you and your family must be extremely proud of your achievements(I can definitely imagine how excited mum (Gail-KTL) was when you crossed the finish line in record winning time). It would have been so exciting to actually be there and see you and Tom cross the finish lines. You have both completed your individual races in awesome times, and deserve all of the praise & attention you can get. Congrats also to Cyprian Aire, in being in the top 5 guys to cross the finish line!! Looking forward to seeing where all of the other guys we know that were racing end up. Cheree
