Boss Meri
MemberSome time ago we purchased a Cessna 206 from Missionary Aviation Fellowship (commonly referred to as MAF) to help out with our food drops and any other use we can think of to help our trekking business.
Quite a few obstacles were put in our path but finally the aircraft is finished and ready to fly. All relevant engineering work was just completed which included the installation of a newly overhauled propellor with some 1500 hours to run and an inspection to certify its ready to GO!
All we are waiting on now is for our Australian pilot to obtain his visa in Brisbane as his work permit was approved earlier this month. Once he arrives we will begin servicing local ports which will include Efogi/Kagi/Naduri and Kokoda. Our pilot has been employed here in PNG for quite a number of years and is already endorsed around with lots of PNG time.
Photograph: P2 – MDC parked near the Hevi Lift departure area. This week we will be getting artwork put on the aircraft. It will be available for hire by other operators on a 'Cash up front basis' as no 'credit will be given'.

MemberThe logo on the tail will be our logo with the porters hand reaching out to the trekker. On each door there will be our Kokoda Trekking logo. On each side of the cargo pod will be the letters
K T L 4 which will be our radio call sign for the aviation side of our business.

MemberHello Gail
Congratulations on the purchase of your new KTL Cessna.
There is no doubt about you, you are always looking for avenues whereby you can assist the people of Kokoda and other areas from where you work and employ. You are a credit, not only to yourself, family and company but to PNG as well. You give unselfishly without a thought for personal gain.
Well done and congratulations again Gail.
Kind regards always
Warren (Waza – Trek 83)
