We would like to introduce to all our future and past trekkers and anyone else looking for the 'perfect gift' to purchase this book put together by Ross Eason. Last week I received a copy from Australia and was most impressed with the overall presentation and photographs.

I would now like to give you this opportunity to purchase this book at the recommended amount of $69.95 + postage.

Ross has trekked with us on two separate occasions to capture these images and it is therefore our pleasure to offer you his book to anyone who would like to purchase a good quality book on Kokoda. This book of images could be placed on office tables in an office; a birthday or Christmas present; or a gift to yourselves to remember the images you saw on the track or about to see.

    About the Book:

Kokoda – Images of a Rugged Journey by renowned photographer Ross Eason is a unique collection of photographs that epitomise the mood of the Kokoda Trail.

Ross has captured the true character of the people and the distinct nature of the environment. Many of the images in the book are scenes too vast for conventional cameras and that realistically demonstrate the incredible power, beauty and magnitude of the Kokoda Trail.

    An ideal gift

This book is the perfect gift for anyone who has walked the track, is planning to walk the track, or has an interest or connection to the track.

The images are not meant to replace images of the personal ordeal of trekkers who have walked the track. Rather, it is suppliment these images and help give the images context, scope and scale.

Kokoda – Images of a Rugged Journey is a beautifully printed hardcover book and makes the perfect addition to the coffee table.

Because of the nature of the book, it can be picked up at any time and enjoyed by everyone.

Why this book is important …

Many trekkers research Kokoda before tackling the trail and it is important to understand where this book fits into that context.

This book IS NOT a visual representation of Ross's personal diary. There are other books that cover the experience and ordeal from a personal perspective. And if you have walked the track then this book is not designed to compete with the photographs of your experience in any way.

This book IS NOT a history book covering the battlegrounds of Kokoda. Sure, the fields of battle are shown and captioned, but there are other books that focus on the history of Kokoda.

This book IS NOT a field guide although the large 3d map in the book shows the scope of the track as never before.

This book IS a visual collection that accurately captures the mood and character of the trail through stunning photography. It will give trekkers an idea of what they can expect from the terrain and also a promise of the grandeur they will experience first hand.
