Interesting title, designed to intrigue us all:
Witchdoctor guards Debra Paver on jungle track
Will be interesting to see if the full story comes out and what it is. If anyone has an update please pass on.

MemberOne of our trekkers a doctor was passing through Alola when they came across this trekker. When me met up with her at our de briefing both her and her husband were very interested to hear how she was.
At the time I did not know so could not tell them anything but having read this makes me really happy to know she is ok.
I have not heard of the 'Witchdoctor' story until I clicked on the url link but here in PNG there are a lot of people who practice what they commonly refer to as 'puripuri'. Different areas of PNG are considered to have stronger puripuri than other areas and quite a lot of the population believe in it.
Our trekkers were talking about a lady from the village who was screaming out in her language. They asked for a translation and were told she wanted to be compensated for the damage to her garden by the chopper.
