Brian
MemberHi Folks
I was not initially considering one being prepared to use my existing good Day Pack and bottles but after consideration I am now considering a HYDRATION DAY PACK and was after some advice as to what hydrations day packs others may be using?
What water capacity 2L or 3L models?
What gear storage capacity?
My existing day pack is a 20litre one including pockets on the side for water bottles.
I can see the ease of using a hydration day pack against the one I am currently using as to have a drink if there is no one handy to get the bottle out I have to remove from my back to do so.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

MemberBrian,
You will find a full hydration pack will interfere with the need to carry other misc personal gear, assuming you are hiring a porter.
Far better to go with your existing day pack and invest in a hydration bladder with tube which fits inside your day pack. 2lt is sufficient, supplemented with a 1lt bottle. Bottle to be used to top up bladder after the purification process of tablets etc.Regards, Geoff Hardie
