    newbie here so i thought id say a hi there and hello to all
    ive always had an interest in the track as my grandfather HJ "Jack" Chapman served on the track with which unit im not sure, but if anybodys father/grandfather knew of orr served with him id love to hear from you

    Hello Marc, tks for posting your message. There are quite a few chapman's listed but you would be the best one to locate the correct one as they give the address if you click on the following url:

    Let me know if you find your grandfather. Once you locate his details you can then write away for his war records. I did this recently for one of my Aunty's in relation to a brother she lost in PNG during the war. It took approximately 3 weeks to arrive in the post.
