We are looking at going in April 2007 with a group of 12 of which 5 are looking at using Frequent Flyer points. Has anyone had issues booking multiple numbers of people to and from Pt Moresby using frequent flyer points. The other problem we have is that we are looking at returning via Cairns for some R & R. Pt Moresby to Cairns flights are only available on Sunday nights at 6.25pm for FFs. If you have had any experiences with Frequent Flyers to and from PNG let me know that would be great.

Hi Doogie, tks for your message. April is probably not a good time to trek using frequent flyer points for a large group due to the amount of other trekkers coming to PNG during this month as its the busiest time of the year. You can always try but I do not like your chances. You probably have more of a chance when you trek outside of the school holidays periods as well. Sunday nights is not a problem as you could always plan for your trek to finish on a Sunday and fly back down that afternoon. For example you could walk from Ower's Corner and finish in Kokoda on a Saturday night. The next day Sunday fly back into Port Moresby and connect with the afternoon flight to Cairns.

Hope this helps as we would love to have your group trek with us.
