Mike
MemberHi there,
I am looking to plan a trip for this time next year, ideally ending in Port Moresby for an Anzac Day service.
There will be a group of 10 of varying ages and fitness levels, i.e father and son groups.
I would like to know the best way to go about booking this and some info on the difference b/w the basic adventure trek and the battlefield trek. Thanks in advance.

MemberYou have come to the right place Mike. Gail has been very helpful for us organising our impending trip in August this year. The website is full of valuable and interesting information. Good luck and enjoy the TREK.

MemberHi Mike, sorry your posting came in during our busiest time of the year and hence it was overlooked until now.
Lets put it this way, during the two weeks before Anzac Day there are hundreds of people on the track…some say too many.
During the rest of the year there are a lot less in numbers. Also after Anzac Day there are reduced numbers.
Next year we are thinking of different ideas to try and avoid the huge numbers in guesthouses etc by putting on lots of different treks. It gives our trekkers lots of options and still allows you to enjoy the experience.
We are going to focus on trekkers being out on the track on Anzac Day and also in Port Moresby but not necessarily all doing the same thing.
In the past couple of years we have had treks going in opposite directions all coming together on the 24th back in Port Moresby to attend Bomana on Anzac Day. It has all come together but I feel for the trekkers as in some campsites the numbers are huge.
What I am planning next year is smaller groups, different locations on Anzac Day such as Isurava; Brigade Hill; Efogi; and so on. If you want the crowds, then please email me and I am sure we can work something out. If not, I am sure your family would get just as much enjoyment, if not more, out of heading out say on the afternoon of the 25th April after attending the Bomana service. You will then only run into a third of the people as before Anzac Day when companies are competing with each other for guesthouses to accommodate our trekkers.
With us you can create your very own trek at a time and date to suit yourself. We also have a special on for school age students.
