Timothy
MemberGreetings all,
This is my first time on this forum and i hope i am not breaking any rules by talking about another trek but i would like to know for a friends sake (and for my own), some information regarding the track by way of comparison.
If anyone has ever climbed Mt Fansipan in Veitnam, is the Kokoda trak anything like it in terms of steepness, terrain, etc?
Both myself and my friend have climbed Fansipan and thought this to be quite difficult but not unacheivable, and both plan to trek Kokoda in the near future. This information would be much appreciated.
Thankyou in advance.

MemberHi Timothy,
While waiting for others to join in, I'll try to say something here. Kokoda Trail isn't really like climbing mountain…. I think Kokoda Trail is a lot more challenging, fun and exciting. Why? Because it is not always just up up up… it's full of up and down, and you get to cross rivers many times, you get to visit many villages along the way to meet the locals.
As for physical strength, I believe it is achievable by ANY fit person, provided that they train well and use common sense while they are out there. Drink and eat enough.
I hope this helps.
