Just thought I'd let you know that we had the fund raising event for Bloomhill on Thursday. It went fabulously. Rich (unfortunately he wasn't able to attend on the night) and Jude did a fantastic job with the venue and the organisation. You should have heard Steve's speech. It was hilarious. The auction went well and overall the whole night raised nearly $30,000 for Bloomhill -a great effort. The young ABC journalist (Jo Youngelsen) who MC'd the evening took a tape of the highlights up to Rich yesterday so he got to see some of the best of it.
I spoke with him this morning and his neutrophil count is climbing ever so slowly, but at least it's headed in the right direction. He's bored out of his mind and has convinced the docs to let him go for a walk outside along the river bank today.

Saw Rich last night . He was about to have his catheter taken out of his
chest so he could go home this morning!! His blood counts have improved a
great deal over the last couple of days. Just wonderful news. No doubt he'll
be bombarding you with emails again in the next day or so.regards
