MemberUpdate 22nd March, 2005: Chris, Victor (Kokoda boys) and Heni (Morobe Tourism) have arrived at Donna Harvey-Hall's residence in Wau at 11am this morning.
They will overnight at the Wau Ecology Institute and restock on food for their walk down the Bulldog Trail to Kerema.
Will now keep you posted on the Bulldog Trail by creating another new subject.
Chris said today that it was a great trek and that there is war relics EVERYWHERE!!!
He said the trek can very easily be walked in four days providing we send in our ground task force to clear the track of fallen trees/logs.
I have run this past Russell and he has agreed to the task force from Kokoda going over to Lae to clear the track for trekkers use. Turns out Chris has run into people from Popondetta all along the trail so our boys are more than welcome.
I see their role as training the boys from Wau and Salamaua to take you our tourists on the Black Cat Trail.
