    Hi everyone,

Have you ever wondered what to do after you have completed the Kokoda Trail and had your first taste of adventure.

You might be happy to know that Malum Nalu from the Tourist Promotion Authority went out with a group of guys and trekked from Salamaua to Wau and his story can be read by logging onto the following :

    http://www.kokodatrail.com.au/forums/index…hp?showtopic=26

Malum is from Salamaua and would love to develop this area of Papua New Guinea and make it as famous as Kokoda over time.

He said in many ways, it was harder than his Kokoda Trek and if any of you read his story on the problems he experienced, this is quite a statement from him.

If you need to know more about the Black Cat Trail, please email :

When there will be a good group of enthousiastic walkers in the next future (in 2004 or later) I will be interested to do that Black Cat track.
I think first walking the Kokoda Trail and than doing the Cat Track after.

When there are more enthousiastic walkers please contact me at my emailadress:
Of course The kokoda Trek company has to arrange that trek.

Hi Nico, there is another trek which was made famous during World War II commonly known as the Bulldog Track.

Time permitting, we would suggest flying into the Kerema area and walking up to Wau.

Then walking down the Black Cat Trail to Salamaua, a boat ride across to the mainland of Lae followed by a plane ride to Port Moresby.

You could then go for another trek along the Kokoda Trail and fly out from Port Moresby.

We should have more details on the Bulldog Trail soon, as Malum Nalu has promised to make this one of his next treks !
