Hi everyone, today I managed to speak to Arthur Apted who said they were all having a great time and that they killed the trail.
Tomorrow they will walk into Kokoda and overnight at Russell's (Kokoda Trekking)family block. On Tuesday they will drive down to Gona and then fly back into Port Moresby from Popondetta on Wednesday and not Thursday as planned.
A sing sing welcome is being planned for their arrival in Kokoda tomorrow.
Trekkers are made up as follows:
Arthur Apted; Jenni Edward; Huw Apted; Lindsay Apted; Paul Lindholm; Frederik Lindholm; Michael Cameron; Angus Cameron; Bernard Murphy & Declan Murphy
This is the kind of traditional welcome they can expect in Kokoda tomorrow as they walk into Rusty's family block:

The group reached Kokoda around 11:30am this morning and headed straight to Russell?s family block, where they will spend the night. All trekkers did extremely great today; they are all fine and well.
There have been no reports of anyone having or facing problems and difficulties, at this day and time, so that was good news.
