Today saw most of our Anzac Day trekkers fly back home no doubt with plenty of stories to tell about their PNG experience…hopefully from our perspective, all good!

Our hero 'Walter Kelly' a WWII war veteran who walked the Kokoda Trail from Sogeri to Kokoda at 81 years of age…what a feat! If I am still talking/walking & alive at 81 I will be more than happy…to think of walking the Kokoda Trail at this age is not what one would expect….but come to PNG he did…conquer he did…and believe it or not, when I caught up with him this end he was walking without any limp, sore ankles, nothing….well done WALTER from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking.

At the Gateway Hotel on the night of the 24th April, Walter got a standing ovation as he accepted his 'Certicate of Completion' and FOC tee shirt.

One of the highlights of the April treks for our guys was no doubt running into one of their footy idols, Mal Maninga.
