MemberUpdate 28th April: Harold called in late this afternoon to say they had reached Efogi 2 where they will spend the night. Tomorrow they will stay at either Templeton's Crossing or preferably Eora Creek depending on how the trekkers are coping.
Today they all struggled on, yeah even the guide as its his first trek for the season and he assured me he is finding it hard after having not walked since October last year!
Photograph: One of the log crossings they would have walked across today.

MemberUpdate 29th April: We received a message today to say they had reached Myola Junction/1900 where they were having lunch. The expected overnight is now Templeton's Crossing. All three trekkers continue to do well.

MemberHi Kev
Thinking of you and hoping all is well. You're almost on the home stretch now. Sure you've seen and learnt a lot and looking forward to hearing all about it over a game of canasta when you get home. Keep it up, wishing you strength for the final leg and a safe return.

MemberYou can picture them at ALOLA VILLAGE tonight. Tomorrow they will spend an hour and a half approximately at Isurava Memorial before walking down to Denkik, Hoi Village, Kovello and then off the track into Kokoda. All going well they should be there mid afternoon.
Harold said Louise did it quite tough today but I just spoke to her and she is quite confident smelling the finish line. I am sure she will come back in with a HUGE smile all over her face

MemberHi Kev
It's taken me a while to get around to telling you that we are right behind you – not literally, but figuratively, Soory it's taken a while. Mate I am absolutely proud of what you are doing – and extremely jealous. Tough it out – I know how determined you are. We'll celebrate big time with plenty of stories on your return. Cheers Peter, Jen, Elle, Abby and Max

MemberUpdate 1st May: I received a sat phone call around 7am this morning from Harold to say that they had reached Isurava and had just finished a service there at the Memorial. At the time the trekkers were still walking around the monument area no doubt getting photographs etc.
He said at the moment they are still on target for around 2-3pm arriving into Kokoda. Then you can all start CELEBRATING the fact they walked the KOKODA TRAIL or as some say the KOKODA TRACK.
They have a pretty tough downhill today, but hey its downhill at least and they are not climbing today! However, having said that some people find going down tougher than climbing.
Can't wait to talk to them at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat.

MemberCongratulations are in order for trek 645 as they have just walked into Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Its only been minutes since I got off the phone after talking with all three of them. They are naturally wrapped in their achievements. The order for food is PIZZA….and as I type this no doubt it is being organised in Kokoda to feed the hungry trekkers and porters.
Tomorrow they will be up early for the drive from Kokoda to Popondetta to catch the Air Niugini flight back to Port Moresby.
