MemberSorry have not heard from the track today. Am assuming they are staying at either Menari or Efogi the half way point tonight. I will post something as soon as they phone in. For the moment however, they must be enjoying themselves as no news is good news. If they had a problem I am sure they would have contacted me!

MemberUpdate 20th April: Wallace contacted me by sat phone this morning around 7am to say they were at Efogi and were about to head off to 1900 where they planned to spend tonight. He said the trek was going well and both trekkers and porters appeared to be enjoying their time out on the track as well as appreciating the history of what our diggers experienced during WWII.
I also spoke to Ken and he said they were all ok. Chris Woods had a tough day but he is powering on.
The previous night they camped at Agulogo – so all going according to plan.

MemberGlad to hear all is well. Thanks so much for the updates and photos, I'm grateful for any news!!
Go Leigh & Chris G – we're all thinking of you slogging it out on the trail and hope you're having a fabulous time. Chris G, have you "found yourself" yet??? Girls are missing you heaps and are keeping track of the number of sleeps until you come home.
Was it this group interviewed by 60 Minutes or another on the trail??
Keep it up Chris W, you can do it.
Yes, this group was interviewed by 60 minutes. It will be aired on the 2nd May.

MemberUpdate 21st April: Wallace phoned up earlier today to say they spent the night as planned at Myola Junction commonly referred to as 1900. Today they were on the move heading for Eora Creek. When he phoned in they were at Templeton's I.
He said Chris was still struggling but they were confident they will get him home (KOKODA) in this instance. All trekkers are pulling for him and I am sure when he reaches Kokoda he will be one very happy man.
Other trekkers in this group continue to do well. Wallace mentioned they were starting to come across other groups heading in the opposite direction. Apparently they have one other trekking company going head to toe with them.
Tomorrow they are hoping to reach Deniki where they will overnight. Sometimes when trekkers reach this point they start to get eager and want to keep walking to reach Kokoda.
Will let you know when I hear from them next.

Hang on Chris W, you're nearly there! I'm betting the Dawn Service at Bomana on Sunday is going to be something really special.
Chris G & Leigh, everyone at home is so looking forward to seeing you back safe and sound. Courtney and Maddison are counting down, 7 sleeps till you come home!

MemberUpdate 23rd April: My apologies as the internet went down late yesterday and I could not post an update. I heard from Wallace that they reached Deniki where they spent last night.
As I write this they should be walking into Kokoda as Wallace said they should arrive at 9:30 – 10:00am.
So congratulations to all trekkers on trek 574 for walking the Kokoda Track and completing their trek, well done!
To our boys a big thank you as Wallace informed me they all pulled together as a team to make them enjoy their trek.
At Isurava yesterday they held a service and I am led to believe there was not a dry eye in sight as they were all quite emotional, boys, trekkers, everyone. No doubt they will all have lots of stories to tell once back home.
