25th April: This morning we were up bright and early around 4am when we left the house to pick up trekkers from the Lamana Hotel; Holiday Inn; Gateway Hotel and the Airways Hotel before heading out to Bomana for the dawn service.

Numbers appeared to be down this year but this could be due to the heavy rain last night in Port Moresby or the economic downturn in Australia.

The service commenced at 5am and went for approximately 30 minutes. Trekekrs were then driven to the Australian High Commission for the Gunners Breakfast. Later in the morning some wanted to be dropped off at the Yacht Club while others decided to go back to their respective hotels.

Our people mover helped take trekkers out to Bomana War Cemetery, refer below. Take a look at David's clothes as he slipped over due to the rain last night and commented that on the track he did ok but at Bomana he lost his footing and slipped over.

Later in the morning we welcomed back our trekkers who attended the dawn service at Kokoda put on by Soc Kienzle. Quite a few local people turned up for the service along with our group and Soc's trekkers that headed out yesterday 24th April.

We do not have any photographs to share with you but we had two different treks attend the dawn service at Isurava this morning. They advised that everything went according to plan.
