Anyone Else Have Trouble Getting Kina?

I went to travelex today and they are having trouble getting hold of kina for me.

Is it easier for me to wait until I hit the airport of Port Moresby?

I'm hearing I should get hold of the majority of my cash in small notes. Can I sort that out once I'm in Moresby?

Are there other options I could explore with my cash? Travelers cheques etc?

For those who took cash with them – how much did you actually take on the track?

Probably 200 kina in fives will be enough. Everything cost 5 kina – Coke – Solo – Pineapple – Banana bunch. You`ll go nuts in the Kokoda store if thats the way your heading.

There is an ATM behind immigration at the Airport and they will change money at the hotel (but they will give you 50`s)
