MemberIf you are a regular visitor to our website, you will know that Richard Thompson the trek leader of the Steve Ovett Group is back in hospital and Alison Anis our http://www.pngbd.com journalist has taken up the challenge of filling his shoes and his place out on the kokoda trail.
Yes, she is EXCITED
Yes, she is in TRAINING
Yes, she doesnt know what she is in for….hahaBut Eric Uwea our guide does. He has had her doing push ups….lots of bicycle riding on our exercise bike……taking her up and down hills surrounding our home here in the Talair Village Compound.
This morning I have just dropped a group of them out at 19 mile to walk up some higher mountains in her preparation for the kokoda trail.
Yes, she is taking this trek seriously and Eric of all people knows the training she requires before she heads out later this month.
Alison seen here out on the town at the Yacht Club recently when we all went out to celebrate Shane Wilkinson and Michael Hann's successful kokoda trek. On the left in this photograph is Richard our food porter. They guys could not believe how effortless he made it look carrying a heavy load with such skinny legs…haha

Here she is on the left of this photograph with other members of our team.

MemberAlison Anis – came to work for us after the Independent Newspaper closed its doors earlier this year.
Before she worked for the Independent, she attended the Divine Word University in Madang.
Here she is hard at work doing what she does best, writing articles for us on pngbd (Papua New Guinea Tourism and Business Directory – http://www.pngbd.com)
