MemberMy thoughts go out to Russell, John and the Eroro family for the loss of Kingsley one year ago today. Gail, please convey my deepest commiserations to them.
To the families of the trekkers who died, my thoughts are with you also. It is two years today since our group walked off the track, and so I feel for those who did not get to enjoy the experience before they were taken from us.

MemberThanks for your kind thoughts. On the 9th August I flew to Kokoda to welcome Lady Kidu and some relatives of those who perished in the plane crash. Because of Kingsley, it was a moving time for us also as his family gathered together to remember their loss. They however, opened their arms to the families who travelled to PNG to walk up to the crash site.
The photograph below was taken shortly after the group landed in Kokoda.

Mary, Anne Gripper mentioned quite a few times, that the family and friends got to experience what should have been their experience. She said that her partner Dr June Cavanagh would have loved to share what they had done in the few days they were in Kokoda. Sue Kinross said something similar as well. The whole thing is so sad and we pray that this never happens again.
