Turns out its a small world, as driving around Port Moresby, it seems Susan Forsyth and myself have something in common. We both worked for Deloitte's and not only that co-incidence, but she was recruited by David Murray. As for myself, David was the Managing Partner of Deloitte in Papua New Guinea and he too was my boss for many many years.

These girls are fast, no wonder they picked a 6 day trek. They commenced their walk at Owers' Corner yesterday morning around 7am and stopped for the night at Ofi Creek. Today the plan is to reach Agulogo for the night where they will run into our other group heading in the opposite direction. Ernst their guide is quite impressed with his group of…[Read more]

Another tough day yesterday as they made their way to 1900/Myola Junction where they camped for the night. According to Wayne they are making such good time that they would like to come out a day early and head to the Airway's Hotel. Go team 994:Walking towards Myola Junction 2.jpgTrek 921 Myola.jpg

After arriving in Popondetta, they were met by our staff and taken to the Popondetta War Museum before heading to Papindo to top up on some water, then up the road to Pija Village where they stopped for something to eat and a nice warm welcome to the Oro Province of PNG.

After leaving Piza they were driven to Kokoda War Museum, then under the…[Read more]

A big day today for trekkers – in fact a 10 hour day. They walked up to Kagi and then decided to head to Myola before ending up at Templeton's area for the night. Tomorrow plan a) is to end up at Isurava Memorial, plan b) is to head to Isurava Village. All trekkers continue to do well in both treks presently on the go.Templeton's Crossing 1.jpg

Received an updated message around 4pm from a very bubbly Lauren Bruce saying they had decided to stop at Efogi for the night and head up to Kagi tomorrow instead of going via Naduri.

She sounded very excited as she explained to me her day. Sounds like its tough but she is thoroughly enjoying herself out on the trail. They plan on starting…[Read more]
