This group spent last night at Kagi and today headed to Bomber's Camp for the night. According to Wayne their guide, everyone is doing well.

Earlier today they crossed paths with our trek heading in the opposite direction and I was informed at that point they were all going strong.

After Isurava Village trekkers made their way to Eora Creek for the night. The following morning they were up early to head to Myola and later camp at Bomber's Camp.

Today they walked from Bomber's Camp up to Kagi before heading down to Efogi for the night.

Trekkers were met by our staff and driven down to Orohaven Pija Retreat where they are presently eating pizza and no doubt thinking back over their experience of the past few days. I was told they had been for a swim in the creek so had time to cool off and clean up before their evening meal.

Around 11am they found themselves at Deniki and no doubt looked down towards Kokoda and knew they would soon walk off the track…well a few hours away.Deniki 640×480.JPG

This morning they continued on with their trek and walked from Alola to Isurava Memorial. This area of the track where so much fighting happened during WWII, its always an emotional part of the walk. Isuravaa.jpg

This group are now at Ioribaiwa Village for the night. I spoke to Paul Ross and he said they were all thoroughly enjoying their experience and looking forward to a few beers at the end. At the moment its a dry track and no rain around so all making good progress as they work their way to Owers' Corner.Ioribaiwa.JPG

Received a phone call tonight to say this group did not stop at Agulogo but continued on to Menari. All going well and loving their time on the track. Most people are no further than Naoro at this point so they are still setting a fast pace.Naoro Village.JPGMenari2.JPG

Trekkers have now reached Ofi Creek where they are spending the night. Today was a tough day as they hit Maguli Range – all good however with this group of trekkers and tomorrow they start to head to the finish line. Trekkers are enjoying themselves as they move closer to the finish line. Tonight sees them at Agulogo campsite. Request from our boys, can we please spend one extra day in Port Moresby before you fly us back home! Their wish has been granted. This morning I received a sat phone call from Clement to say they reached the half way point of Efogi yesterday where they spent last night. Today the plan is to head to Agulogo but not before climbing up to Brigade Hill; then through the village of Menari – crossing over brown river. Trekkers spent last night at Menari and today would he heading for Ofi Creek or Iorbaiwa. They are making such good time they have asked to walk off the track a day early and are booking into a top hotel in Port Moresby before heading back home to Australia.
