Trekkers had a short day today and are now in Menari for the night. Tomorrow will be a tough day as they walk up to Brigade Hill, down to Efogi, followed by a climb up to Kagi. Everyone continues to do well and looking forward to hearing the scores from the rugby tonight. Go Wallabies!post-1276-0-22990200-1375607239.jpg

Around 3pm this afternoon this trek walked into Naoro Village. All trekkers and our KTL boys continue to do well. Tonight they share the campsite with another group walking in the opposite direction. Today the track was slippery – especially the downhills! Tomorrow the plan is to give them a shorter day and head to Menari for the night. Naoro.jpg

After walking around Bomana War Cemetery, trekkers were driven by Raymond up snake road to Sogeri and then on the gravel road out to Owers' Cnr. On the way they stopped at McDonald's Corner which provided another opportunity for a photograph:McDonald's Corner.jpg

Eric called from Alola to say they pushed ahead yesterday to Eora Creek for the night. Today their aim is to reach Deniki for the night and walk off the track tomorrow mid morning into Kokoda.

One of the women has a knee problem but will be ok and will make it to Kokoda ok.

Heard earlier today that trekkers had reached Alola Village but not too sure if they kept walking to Isurava Memorial or decided to stay put. No doubt by now they are all looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow. Our staff in Kokoda have everything ready waiting on them to arrive as the first plan Tony made was to walk off today the 5th.…[Read more]

This group have now reached 1900/Myola Junction area of the track. Trekkers I spoke to yesterday said it was quite cold there at the moment if you are used to QLD or the tropics. Victorian's felt it was warmer than back home. Apparently its been a dry track all the way from Owers' Cnr. until now.Walking towards Myola Junction 2.jpg
