This morning we received a phone call from Brigade Hill with trekkers on the move heading to Naoro. Everyone was fine and having a break.

Today they have reached the half way point of Efogi so have made good time and are on schedule. Tomorrow they will head to Naoro for the night. According to Cyprian, everyone is doing well and enjoying their walk across the Kokoda Trail.

The first night on the track saw them at Isurava Village. The next morning they walked through Isurava Memorial area before making their way to Alola, Eora Creek and then Templeton's Crossing for the night.

A short walk tomorrow will see this group walk under the archway at Kokoda as tonight they are in Kovelo Village. Gary sounded excited as he knows tomorrow him and trekkers and other KTL boys will celebrate another successful walk across the track. This team have now reached Alola Village for the night. Both trekkers continue to do well. The plan tomorrow is to give them a short day down to Deniki but they may decide to push on to Hoi. Apparently they experienced some rain at Eora Creek but apart from that, its been a dry trek.Alola Village (2).jpg

Last night saw the group at Ua'Ule Creek and tonight they have reached Naoro Village. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Efogi the half way point. According to Clement, all trekkers are doing well. He said it is still dry on the track and they are making good time as they move along the Kokoda Trail:

It was soon time to bid farewell to this group and they left Owers' Cnr around 12:30 with the destination for today being Goodwater, approx 2 1/2 hours walk.
