Trek 1102 were picked up around 7am this morning and made their way out to Bomana War Cemetery and later headed to Owers’ Corner for the commencement of their walk. Trekkers include:
Mark Leggett; Gilbert Rodrigues; Irma Schwarz; Alex Newell; Matthew Kinsman; Jessica Boyle and John Stavridis

I spoke to Erik earlier on tonight and he said they are all happy and well. He asked if they could come off the track one day ahead of schedule. So tomorrow they will be picked up at Owers' Corner around 2pm instead of the morning of the 4th. Tonight they are at Ioribaiwa Village. Earlier today they walked through the village of Nauro.Nauro.jpg

This group arrived in Agulogo their destination point around 5pm today. Not far to go now as they head towards the finish line. Tomorrow they will have a tough day as they walk up to Nauro and take on Maguli Range which all trekkers say is hard. Their first night on the track was spent at Deniki. This was followed by Alola and now tonight finds them at Dump 1. Tomorrow they head for the half way point of Efogi.

Congratulations to our group of trekkers who just walked under the archway in Kokoda around 2pm. I heard they were at the Kokoda Memorial Museum area preparing to move off to Orohaven Pija where they will spend the night before flying to Port Moresby tomorrow morning.
