Trekkers passed through Naoro Village yesterday and headed down to Agulogo to spend the night. Everyone continues to do well. Today they will reach the half way point of Efogi and depending on the time may stop there the night or walk further to Naduri Vilalge.Agulogo__640x480_.JPGTrek_744_Naoro_to_Agulogo___Swamp__640x480_.JPG

This group was supposed to spend the night at Ofi Creek but when they reached this point, the trekkers wanted to keep on walking so off they headed to Naoro Village. Turns out these two trekkers should have opted for a shorter trek as the speed they are walking is equal to a much shorter trek.Perhaps they want to spend some time the other end…[Read more]

Hey Howie,I so happen to be traveling to Adelaide for Easter and am going to go up the side of Mount Lofty, apparently there is a cafe at the top in which my wife intends to stop at while I (we) do the hill a couple more times.

Hi PeteHow interesting, it would seem that it was an article done on my trek in '05 in the then Pictorial and yes I mentioned Gail in very glowing terms and Gail even took an add in the feature. It would be interesting to see a scan or photo of the article, which turned out to be 4 pages with photos.Best regardsWarren (Waza)PS I'm off to trek…[Read more]

Just having a quick read during my lunch, realising that I only have 3 weeks to go before we hit the Track again. Two items come to mind, firstly from rooster, commenting on trek numbers and I have to agree wholeheartedly as when I trekked in '05, we shared ANZAC Day at the Isurava Memorial Site with what seemed like a 100 trekkers from another…[Read more]

It appears plan a) or b) did not eventuate yesterday as the group ended up stopping for the day at Isurava Village and this morning walked into Isurava Memorial area around 8am.Perhaps the guys found it tough going up what we call 'test hill' from Deniki to Isurava Village. Both trekkers are civil engineers but I was told did not train with their…[Read more]

Their guide is Arnold Jinga. I informed the trekkers that its Arnold's 1st trek for the 2012 trekking season so think he would excited to be chosen to walk with them.Arnold was also one of our team of porters and guides who successfully completed two first aid courses in the past few weeks.Arnold_Jinga.JPG
