Before long we were bidding our farewell to trek 872 as they headed off down to Goldie River. I heard from my son Shane (trek 841) that they all got drenched as the skies opened up on their way down the hill:P1110046__640x480_.JPGP1110047__640x480_.JPGP1110049__640x480_.JPG

Our attention then turned back to trek 872. Warren Turner and his daughter Lara and her partner Grant Smith were soon lining up for their photographs. Warren often posts on our website under the name of Waza. He is so passionate about the war history and back in 1942 his father was the President of the Port Moresby RSL Club here in Port…[Read more]

Gday Chopper, sorry to hear of the liver cancer.I can only recommend KTL as trekked with Gail and her team in 2006. All transfers are covered in the trek package. You'll be picked up from the airport, taken out to Sogeri lodge for the night and depending on which direction you are walking, either down to Ower's corner or back to the airport for…[Read more]

Walter turned 82 shortly after completing his successful trek.…[Read more]

Trek 840: Michael Lobb is back on the track – walking in with Brad Lahey's personal porter Noel Idau. I think the last few words Brad spoke to me yesterday was that he has been married for 20 years and in the few days on the track he held this guys hand more than he has his wife so that shows just how much he relied on the services of his now PNG…[Read more]

Trek 840: On the morning of the 22nd April Brad Lahey decided he could not continue so him and his mate Michael Lobb stayed put at Agulogo and we went into immediate action to get him airlifted off the track by helicopter. Around 10:30am we were at the Helifix waiting for the pilot to do up his flight plan. Around 11am the chopper took off with…[Read more]
