Phoned Kokoda later in the day and it seems they were all celebrating with a few beers their successful trek. Tomorrow will be a relaxing day for Julia and a walk up to the Kokoda Station is planned to look inside the War Museum there as it was skipped today.On Monday Julia will be flown back into Port Moresby.

Our food porters for this trek: Cyprian Aire. This guy can fly across the track and always finishes in the top 5 in our Kokoda Challenge Races. His best time is 19 hours + for the 96km race.Cyprian comes from Ajeka village which is on the way from Kokoda to Popondetta.IMG_0015__800x600_.jpg

To him it meant he could not slow her down so they ended up walking off one day ahead of their scheduled time of arrival in Kokoda.Eric sounded VERY HAPPY. Hi, thanks for your post. If you wish to protect your boots especially in the muddy areas its still wise to wear them. My son Shane walks quite a few times each year and his preferred choice is the ones you pick up at a Bunnings store.
