On the 5th June they were picked up from Sogeri Lodge and when I arrived they were still on the back verandah having not long had their breakfast. Trekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi. Appears it was muddy prior to Brown River and ok after they crossed over the river. They are all now relaxing at Efogi. Trekkers continue to do well.Efogi Village.jpg

This team of trekkers and porters spent last night at Agulogo near Menari and today will have a tough walk through the muddy swamp area followed by a climb up Brigade Hill.

Unfortunately for Peter Preisig, he has been forced to turn back due to a stomach problem he had several years ago that returned to haunt him on this trek. Trek 873 spent the night at Ofi Creek and were on the move early this morning to walk up Maguli Range towards the village of Naoro. If all goes to plan they will then pass through Naoro and spend the night next to the creek at Agulogo. All trekkers continue to do well.P1150018 640×480.JPG
