Arnold called around 1:30pm to say they were at Imita Ridge and heading down to Ua'Ule Creek for the night. He said they were taking it slowly and allowing the trekkers to settle in before the big day when they head up Maguli Range.P1000012 640×480 640×480.JPGTrek 730 – walking up towards Imita Ridge from Goldie River 640×480.JPG

Received a phone call at 10:20am to say they have reached Isurava Memorial. A change of plan, they have made good time so have now decided to head down to Deniki for the night before walking off the track tomorrow.Isurava (8) 640×480.JPG

Cyprian phoned in to say they have reached 1900/Myola Junction where they are going to stop for the night. Tomorrow they will head down to Eora Creek. Cyprian once again sounded happy as he knows the finish line is in sight and very soon they will be on Kokoda soil.Walking towards Myola Junction.jpg

This trek spent the night at Efogi the half way point. Today they will head off to Naduri but may push on to 1900/Myola Junction instead. Will wait until I hear from the Cyprian as they move towards the finish line in Kokoda.Efogi Creek.JPG

It was almost 6am when my phone rang to report on their trek. Cyprian sounded really happy and excited as he handed the phone to Richard. Turns out it rained quite heavily late yesterday and throughout the night. Apparently the group have been going well and looking forward to today as they walk up Maguli Range and head to Agulogo for the…[Read more]

Before they headed off down the hill towards Goldie River, they had a group photograph taken. Walking as the food porter on this trek is Gary Joheri.

Gary would be eager to return home as he has been invited by trekkers who walked a couple of weeks ago to spend some time in Australia and has been in Port Moresby since then trying to obtain a…[Read more]
