Gday Shane. We will be on the track at a similar time. Planning to walk for a second time around July/August 2014 with a few of the same that walked on Trek 182 in 2006. I can't believe it will be 8 years when we leave to when we last tracked!

Today I received an email from Bo Sunnefeldt send from a hut in northernmost Sweden where he has been helping the Sami people-friends with their reindeers. He stated it was -35C.

Trekkers are ahead of schedule. Shane just called up and said they have reached Isurava Memorial where they have settled in for the night. Tomorrow they will walk off the track and under the Kokoda Archway around 1pm. Shane ordered 11 pizza's to be cooked and ready for them at Orohaven. Trekkers have now on their way to Eora Creek. Their first night on the track was spent at Goodwater campsite. The next night was Ofi Creek followed by Agulogo.
After reaching the half way point of Efogi, they moved off to Naduri. I did not hear but am assuming they spent last night at 1900/Myola Junction.

Congratulations are in order for this trek as they walked off the track today at around 12:00pm through the Kokoda Archway (photograph below).
Tonight they are at our base in Kokoda at Orohaven Kokoda Retreat. Tomorrow they will make there return back to Port Moresby to end the trek.

Wow, what a day these guys have had. They have walked all the way from Naduri Village to Aola! The original plan was to stop at Eora Creek but the group pushed on and just phoned to say they reached there around 5:30pm.

Trekkers left Kokoda this morning to drive down to Popondetta. They stopped a couple of places along the way and at one point, our boys climbed a tree and got some coconuts for them all to share.
