Hi Badger, sorry I have not checked this area of the website for awhile so my sincere apology for the late reply.

All trekkers are met at the airport on arrival and taken to where we have booked for the night. If trekkers wish, we take them to the Yacht Club where they can enjoy an evening meal before being returned to rest for the night.

The guide for this trek is Dudley Bubura who called me this afternoon to say they made it to Ua'Ule Creek where they are spending the night. Tomorrow they are heading for Naoro Village.

Trekkers are spending their last night on the track at 'Goodwater'. Tomorrow they plan on an early start around 6am to head down to Goldie River then up their last climb to Owers.

Pat advised me that they were all looking forward to their last night on the track and the end to their successful trek.

This trek had another tough day yesterday and stopped at Menari for the night. Today they are heading to Ua'Ule Creek and tomorrow off the track. I received a phone call from Pat at Naoro Village area earlier today. He said everything was ok and that they all continued to enjoy their trek. The were heading today to Ioraiwba Village to spend their second last night on the track.

This trek has now reached Templeton's Crossing where they are spending the night. Steven has had a tough day but remains positive that he wants to walk off the track on the 26th.

Pat phoned earlier today from Brigade Hill as the group was moving along the track. The plan today was to push up along the track until they reached Agulogo campsite area. Trekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi so more than likely feeling pretty proud of themselves as they settle in for the night.

Its a pretty wet track on the Kokoda side so they have already experienced walking in the wet and the mud.efogi.jpg

Last night was spent at Templeton's Crossing due to heavy rain in the area which forced them to go slower than they would have liked.

Today will be a big one for everyone as they push on up the track towards Efogi I or II for the night.

Jodes, I'm heading over in first week of August for my first trek too. Myself and one of the others in our group have each collected about 20kg of donations. We will be hiring an extra porter each to carry the stuff so we can distribute along the way. We are starting at Kokoda, so we have a fair bit for the hospital too.

A highlight of the day was when they stopped at Isurava Memorial before moving on to their final destination of Alola Village.

Trekkers flew back into Port Moresby from Kokoda this morning and were met by our staff. They all made their way to the international terminal for their flight back to Australia.

Have not heard from the track today but when I last spoke to Wayne he was at Naduri Village and said today they would reach either Templeton's Crossing plan a) or Eora Creek plan b).
