Congratulations are in order as trekkers walked through the Kokoda Archway around 12:30pm today. Pat assured me they were all happy and pleased to have completed their trek. At the present time they are all relaxing at Orohaven our base in Kokoda.

Congratulations from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking as the group walked off the track out into Kokoda Station mid afternoon. At the moment they are all relaxing at Orohaven.

Received a sat phone call from Isurava Memorial where this trek is spending their last night on the Kokoda Track. The estimated time of reaching Kokoda tomorrow is around 2pm. Trekkers have now reached Templeton's Crossing where they are camped for the night. Only one more night on the track before they head for the finish line in Kokoda. Trekkers had a tough day today as they climbed up Maguli Range. They walked through Naoro Village and headed down to Agulogo for the night where they are sharing the campsite next to the river with another trekking company walking in the opposite direction.

This trek has now reached the half way point of Efogi where they are spending the night in Landy Noel's guesthouse before heading off tomorrow to Templeton's Crossing.

When Pat phoned this afternoon it had just started pouring rain. This group are now at Ioribaiwa Village and it seems they had a good day with no problems with any trekker and according to him, doing all doing well.

Trekkers have now reached Naoro Village where they have stopped for the night. Tomorrow the plan is to head to Efogi the half way point.

Congratulations are in order as our present group of trekkers walked off the track mid afternoon and are presently relaxing at our base in Kokoda. Trekkers have now reached Isurava Memorial where they are spending the night. Tomorrow they will walk off the track into Kokoda Station and no doubt will be very happy with themselves.

Trekkers have now reached 1900/Myola Junction and according to our staff, it rather cool there tonight and the boys were looking forward to being next to the fire. Trekkers have now reached the half way point of Efogi where they are bedded down for the night, this time on mattresses in Landy Noel's guesthouse.
I spoke with Clement on the sat phone from Efogi and he said his trek is progressing well and that tomorrow they are heading down to 1900/Myola Junction.Landy's guesthouse area.jpg

I spoke with Clement Harika the guide for this trek at 11am this morning from Menari. He said they were all ok and the plan was to reach the half way point of Efogi today.

Trekkers spent last night at Ofi Creek and today are heading to Agulogo for the night. They will have a tough day as they climb up Maguli Range into Naoro Village before setting off for their campsite.

Haven't posted for a while. My memories of the toilets is still very vivid. I remember my first visit as if it was yesterday. Being used to our Australian porcelain pans I looked and wondered how I could get my bum that low!!
