Trekkers are spending the 2nd last night on the track at Ioribaiwa. Tomorrow they head down to Goldie River for the night before walking off the track on Wednesday. I do not know about the trekkers but the boys are looking forward to watching the state of origin on TV on Wednesday night. Everyone on this trek continues to do well.Ioribaiwa.JPG

Think of the trekkers today as they tackle Maguli Range and head towards Ioribaiwa for the night. Yesterday they were at Naoro Village which saw very little military action but was cleared and used by the biscuit bombers' as a parachute drop site.DSC00391 800×600.jpgDSC00392 800×600.jpg

Clement that the group have stopped for the night at Brigade Hill. He said they had a short day today but mentioned it was raining on the way down from Kagi to Efogi.

Trekkers spent last night at Kagi Village where they experiencd some great views of other villages along the track and off the track. Today they are making their way to Efogi the half way point.Efogi Village.JPG

Trekkers have had the track to themselves and have not passed anyone it seems. Last night was spent at Templeton's (2). This morning they walked across the bridge below at Eora Creek before continuing their walk up to Alola Vilage. Around midday they reached Isurava Memorial and as I type they are heading to Deniki for the night.

Eric Uwea called by sat phone a short while ago to say they have reached the half way point of Efogi around 4:30pm this afternoon He said trekkers are enjoying their trek and also the views.

Trek 924: Trekkers reached Goldie River around 4pm where they will spend the night.
Tomorrow morning they will begin their climb up to Owers' Corner having successfully completed their

Trekkers have a big day today. Early this morning they left Agulogo for a climb up to Naoro Village before tackling Maguli Range and down to Ofi Creek.
Ernst phoned in to say the plan is to continue walking until they reach Ioribaiwa Village sometime this afternoon where they will set up camp for the night.

Ernst called this morning to say they will have a walk today of approx 7 hours as they plan on reaching Agulogo for the night. At the time I spoke with him they were just about to walk off from Efogi. Everyone is still ok and enjoying their trek.Agulogo 640×480.JPG

Ernst phoned in this morning to say they were about to move off from 1900/Myola Junction around 7am and head to first to the village below of Naduri before their final destination of the day being Efogi. Trekkers spent the morning as planned at Isurava Memorial grounds and attended the Anzac Day service there before moving off to Eora Creek/Templeton's Crossing area.
