This trek decided to skip Eora Creek and head to Alola. Yesterday the reached Hoi Village for the night and mid morning they walked into Kokoda.

At the moment they are all relaxing at our base in Kokoda, Orohaven. Tomorrow they will be up early in order to be driven down to Popondetta to catch their flight back to Port Moresby.

This group have now reached the area commonly referred to as 'Bombers Camp' which is the Port Moresby side of Mt Bellamy. Everyone continues to do well.

Trekkers have now reached Efogi II where they will spend the night. Tomorrow they walk through Kagi Village before heading to Bomber's camp for the night. Everyone continues to do well.IMG_0072 1280×768.JPG

Trekkers reached Menari as planned where they spent the night. This morning they would be preparing themselves to reach Kagi Village. So another tough day ahead of them today as they have a hard climb up Brigade Hill before walking down and through Efogi.

Congratulations are in order as this trek arrived in Kokoda this morning and are now relaxing at Orohaven our base. Tomorrow they will catch their flight back to Port Moresby along with the 3 other trekkers who walked off the track yesterday.

Clement has made contact with us. Last night was spent at Eora Creek and today they kept trekking and pulled up for the night at Hoi Village. Trekkers are doing fine and looking forward to walking off the track tomorrow morning.

I have not heard from Clement today but the GPS shows them at Isurava. Earlier today they would have crossed over Eora Creek then climbed towards Alola Village where they were supposed to stop for the night. Congratulations are in order as trekkers walked off this afternoon in Kokoda and arrived down at Orohaven around 5:30pm. It seems they reached Deniki and instead of staying there, according to their guide Harold Hauro, a decision was made to continue walking and reach Kokoda. Clement called in tonight to inform me they had reached 1900/Myola Junction and were all sitting around a campfire trying to keep warm. Last night was spent at Efogi. This trek are camped for the night at Naoro Village. According to Clement Harika, trekkers and porters are all doing well. Tomorrow they will head to the half way point of Efogi. Apparently its a dry track at the moment.Naoro1.jpg

Trekkers are now at Goldie River for their last night on the track. Tomorrow they will walk up their last hill and walk under the archway at Owers' Corner.
