Picture trekkers today as they left Menari this morning and when I heard from Horace their guide, they were at Brigade Hill. Lunch was going to be at Efogi and all going well they hoped to reach Kagi around 3pm where they will rest for the night. The guide on this trek is Horace Yauga who called from Maguli Range this morning to say they were all going ok and that they would have morning tea at Naoro and lunch at Agulogo before moving on to Menari for the night.

Trekkers have just walked through the archway at the Kokoda Archway at 2:30pm. Trekkers spent last night at Isurava Memorial and today are on the move presently walking through the choko fields heading for Deniki. Approximate time in Kokoda midday when they will walk through the archway. Trekkers had a big day today. They commenced at Ofi Creek, walked up Maguli Range, through the village of Naoro then down to Menari for the night. Tomorrow they will have another tough day as they walk up Brigade Hill, through Efogi before heading to Kagi to spend the night.

The first day was a short day for these trekkers as they pulled up at Goodwater for the night. Tony reported they were happy and doing great and that today they plan was to head to Ofi Creek for tonight.

Trekkers walked off the track as planned into Kokoda only this time round with a new twist. What's that you say? Well it would appear after 7 nights and 8 days their porters looked after them on the track.

Another good day for this group as the worked their way along the track to reach their destination of Eora Creek where they are spending the night. Tomorrow the plan is to stop at Isurava.

This group of trekkers reached Kagi Village around 3pm this afternoon. Some people say its harder via Kagi than Naduri but according to Pat their guide, he prefers to walk the Kagi route.

This group have now reached Kagi Village where they have settled in for the night. Ernst said it was a tough day but his trekkers responded to the challenge and they all did well. Trekkers reached their destination for today around midday. Pat said they were all happy to arrive at Menari and settle in for a restful afternoon in readiness for a tough day tomorrow as they walk through Efogi the half way point and walk up to Kagi for the night.

Congratulation are in order as trekkers walked off the track earlier today and are now relaxing with a few beers at Orohaven our base in Kokoda. Tomorrow they will fly back to Port Moresby.
