The road showed today that there had been some rainfall as it was slippery in places and also muddy especially around Vesulogo Village. As a result we did not drive right to the bottom of Owers' Corner but dropped off at the top.DSC00010 800×600.jpgDSC00011 800×600.jpgDSC00012 800×600.jpgDSC00013 800×600.jpgDSC00014 800×600.jpg

As it turned out this morning Goldie was still flooded so our…[Read more]

They did not catch the other group ahead of them as a decision was made for them to finish because at the time this group were still at Deniki a couple of hours away.

Congratulations does not quite fit what Tom Quick has just done. I mean here is a stoke victim who has just walked the Kokoda Trail. How can anyone describe this fully as its an awesome effort from a gutsy young man to achieve a goal he set himself and has now completed.

Well done Tom from all of us here at Kokoda Trekking. To Clive your dad,…[Read more]

We have found Tom, Clive, Tim & Rick – they have continued to stay ahead of the John Prossor group coming up the rear. The grapevine informs us, they have stopped at Deniki. Also a message has filtered through that they plan on waiting for the other group at Hoi Village.Trek 920 Deniki.jpg

Trekkers reached Isurava Memorial this morning where they had a service. The plan was for Tom's group of family and friend to meet and join with them but they bolted and had taken off before this group arrived.

I spoke with Pat and he said they were going to move on down to Isurava Village to stop for the night.

Everyone was ok and looking…[Read more]
